Just a few additions to Dan Case's excellent report. The building overlooking the pond is occupied. The residents watched me hike across the spillway, but did not object. After I returned to my car, parked at the top of the road leading over the spillway, they walked over to that end of their property, I'm sure to check me out, but did not overtly object to my presence. I suspect they may not own the spillway road, or there may be an easement to travel the road. The spillway is in bad shape. Very muddy in the center, and seemingly one storm away from washing out. After the pond, follow Dan's route to both high points. About 100 feet past the second rise, pick up a bulldozed swath that leads due south back to the dirt road, making an easier return than retracing the bushwhack through the Norway spruce woods.
