Just a couple of updates to Dan Case's fine report. From the eastern junction of NY 39/98 at Arcade, it is
6.4 miles east on NY 39 to the Cadwell Road turnoff. I met with Jim Vassar, who says they are averaging
about one visitor a month. He has visited the Wyoming County, WV, highpoint as well. As you drive up,
a small pack of dogs will bark and snarl, but they're all quite lovable. Two of them escorted me to the highpoint.
For the record, I reconnoitered the southern approach from Washburn Road, but found it heavily
and continuously posted. The approach from the Vassar's farm is the way to go.
