Allen County Highpoint Trip Report

These areas are just southwest of the small village of West Newton in the far southeast corner of Allen county.
From the 4-way stop in West Newton at the intersection of Napoleon and Amherst head west out
of town on Amherst. Follow Amherst as it jogs south then continue straight ahead on Gossard Road at the
0.5 mile mark when Amherst turns 90 degrees back west. Follow Gossard another 0.5 mile until you reach
the county line.
On your right (west) is farm with a County Line Ag Services sign in the front yard.
The highpoint is behind the house and farm buildings.
Ask permission then hop a couple fences en route to the two points.
I thought the highest spot was near a large decomposing stump that was unearthed.
Wander around until you're satisfied.
