Roy Wallen’s directions were accurate. I hiked along the fence line next to 3-inch tall corn. At the fence, there is a good place to cross but beware of the poison ivy and the thorny honey locust overhead. Bringing a pair of pruners is not a bad idea, as the rest of the fence is tall and somewhat loosely wired. In a few months the poison ivy would be everywhere. Note the light forest you will then hike through is pastureland, so there may be cows about.
