From the US 36 - Route 229 intersection just west of Mt. Vernon, travel west on Route 229 for 4.8 miles to Tucker Road. Turn left (south) on Tucker Road and travel just over 2 miles to New Delaware Road. Turn west on New Delaware Road for 0.15 mile and watch for a sign at the crest of the hill for Todd's Taxidermy and Party Barn. Turn right (north) and stop at the house to meet Gene Todd. Mr Todd granted me permission to visit his grounds, which consists of woods, fields, ponds, mowed paths and a large barn. He regularly rents his facilities for various group activities, so I hope your visit coincides with a time when the property is not being rented.

There are a total of five areas to investigate which are located north and west of his house. Walk just a short distance west from Mr. Todd's house to area 1 which surrounds a white shed and includes an orchard and some trees. Area 2 is north along a mowed path and has lots of pine trees and an old barn sitting on it. This appears to be the highest contour, with the high spot located about 50 feet south of the barn next to some trees. Areas 3, 4 and 5 are out in a field to the southwest. Hand level checks and backsighting confirm that all three are lower than area 2. Area 5 is the smallest (and southernmost) spot and is bisected by a fence that separates a neighbor's horse pasture from the larger field. The other two areas sit on a gentle ridge that runs north-south in the field. Follow the north edge of horse pasture fence to the east where you will find the access path through the fence and back to Mr Todd's house.
