two areas - one with BM Fostoria (775+ ft)

To reach area one, start at the intersection of US 23 and Ohio 199 just north of Fostoria.
Drive north on US 23 almost 2 miles to an intersection with Pelton Road.
Area one is a large contour area off to the left of US 23,
bounded by Pelton, Gwilym, and Brandenberry Roads. The high spot and BM Fostoria are located in a
field behind the house of Kirby Flowers (1132 US 23, Fostoria). His house is about 0.25 mile north of
Pelton Road on the left side of US 23 behind a white board fence. Mr. Flowers helped me to find one of the
Fostoria reference markers (41° 11.940' N, 83° 25.402' W), but the apparent high point is to the
west in his hayfield (41° 11.942' N, 83° 25.474' W). Mr. Flowers has started to develop the
property into a housing tract called Northgate, so future access could be a problem.
To visit area two, proceed south from the intersection of US 23 and Ohio 199 in Fostoria for about 0.25
mile to the Pizza Hut. Park in their lot and stroll up and down the adjacent sidewalk. The highest spot
appears to be in the front yard of the house just south of the Pizza Hut.
