Despite signs that the gates were open throughout the summer, my progress was halted by a gate ~15 miles
from Frenchglen. Probably best to call BLM at 541-573-4400 to confirm that the gates are all open when
you visit. Frustrating to drive so far and accomplish so little. At least my book on tape was exciting!
