Clarion County High Point Trip Report

1 mile east of Pendleton Run - USGS BM Fisher (1900+ ft) and
1/4 mile south of USGS BM Fisher (1901 ft)
From Strattanville on US 322, take SR 1011 at sign marked "Fisher 7." Fork right at 0.2 miles and
continue to Fisher at 6.7 miles. Take sharp right, go one block, then left at Wilcox (TR 633) at 6.8 miles.
Go to T-intersection at 7.7 miles and turn left. Turn right at 8.0 miles onto TR 632. Reach gate at 8.7
miles. Hike jeep roads to microwave tower on north summit. Trail heads south from summit for a short
distance and passes BM Fisher, easily spotted just to the left of the trail. Bushwhack down to the col and
climb south summit to 1901 ft. spot elevation. The south summit is on a much narrower ridge and is
much better defined. However, the USGS data sheet for BM Fisher gives an elevation of 1918 ft. for BM
Fisher, so it's probably the true county high point.
