Fulton County High Point Trip Report

Big Mtn (2,440+ ft)
On U.S. 30 at county line, sign for Cowans Gap State Park leads north onto Aughwick Road. Bear right
at 0.9 miles onto Tower Road, and reach summit at 2.7 miles. Only tower foundations remain, and I
could not find BM 2458. Walk the margin and interior of the circular road to cover both the Fulton and
Franklin County high points.
1 3/4 miles north of Wells Tannery (2,443 ft)
From PA 915 north of US 30, take SR 4013 (Wells Valley Road) 2.0 miles to Enid. Go left on Enid Road
and at 2.7 miles bear left onto Schenck Road. Reach the county line at 5.3 miles. Hike south on the jeep
road (not the one shown on the topo) that follows the ridge line almost to the summit. When road crests,
bushwhack left 400' to summit.
