Lackawanna County High Point Trip Report
one point on Moosic Mts 2 1/4 miles west of Lake Quinn (2,323 ft)

Take exit 4 off I-84 to PA 348. From the turn onto 348, go east 0.6 miles to left turn at SR 2003 (Cortez Road).
Go left onto SR 1012 at 5.4 miles. Turn right onto dirt road at 7.5 miles. Bear left at 7.7 and
parallel power line for a short distance. The road along the power line is pretty bad, but the rest of it is
good quality. The road turns right under the power line, and the better gravel road angles uphill to a crest
at 8.5 miles. From there a faint woods road leads uphill, but soon fades out. Use game trails through
difficult scrub to reach the 2300' closed contour shown on the topo, then see the marshy pond shown on
the map. Bushwhack NE to highest ground.
