From PA 14 in Grover, go east on SR 3012. At 0.4 miles turn right onto SR 3003. Cross the county line at 2.8, with road becoming SR 1013. Reach Devils Elbow Natural Area, parking area, and trailhead for the Sand Spring Trail at 5.1 miles. Hike Sand Spring Trail, which is a grassy woods road, until it crests in the slight hollow that leads to the col between the two high points. This area is noticeably wetter, with moss on trees and rocks. Follow the hollow SE to the top. I came out at the NE point, which had a line of surveyors' blazes and a wooden stake with a plastic flag. Bushwhack SW to the second point, which has a noticeable rise from the col. From there bushwhack NW back to the woods road. Once leaving the woods road, use a compass, as the terrain features are not very distinctive.
