Northampton County Highpoint Trip Report

Previous directions are good enough. The reason I didn't recall this part of the AT as being so steep and rocky is that the trail used to go up the paved road. Otherwise, it is 1.9 miles on the AT to the gravel/dirt road. There were several candidate high spots.
Along the main drag in the town of Wind Gap I noted the Wind Gap Happy Shop. I have no clue what would be sold at such an establishment although several theories come to mind. Unfortunately, it was closed so I was unable to check. For those with more time in the area, Jayne Mansfield is buried in nearby Pen Argyl.
