Union County Highpoint Trip Report

The unsigned dirt road is now signed Paddy Mountain Road at 2 spots but NOTE just past the second sign
at the Paddy Springs Road junction there is a tree down across the road. My Blazer with oversize tires
couldn't get under it so I had to back up over 0.1 mile to turn around and park.
On the Stony Run Road to the Kessler Trail, I saw 4 foxes in a group as I came around a sharp turn.
Beautiful animals.
At the junction of Stony Run Road and Pine Creek Road, if you go west on Pine Creek Road,
you eventually get back to State Highway 45 near Laurelton State Village. If you go East on Stover Gap Road,
in 4.4 miles you hit State Highway 192, 13.7 miles west of the village of Forest Hill (this was my way out).
