New Mexico Prominence Completion Maps

This page is an index to maps that portray the cells of prominent New Mexico summits. A prominence cutoff value of roughly 1,940 feet corresponds to the New Mexico Fifty Finest prominence list.

New Mexico has some forty-seven 2,000+ foot prominences. Among contiguous western states only Wyoming shares this oddity of having less than fifty 2,000+ foot prominences.

Edward Earl prepared the Fifty Finest cell map.

A New Mexico 2,000+ foot prominence list has not been published on-line. Contact Andy Martin for details.
