South America Fifty Finest
18 John Biggar   see website
John Biggar has 171 South American peaks with 400+ meters prominence, all above 5,000 meters height.
The 21 Japanese Ultras are listed here.
Regarding the list, "All of these summits are included on the list of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains,
the Nihon Hyaku-Meizan by Kyuya Fukada".
A wiki on the Hyaku-Meizan is found
here.
An excerpt reads, "People who have made a goal of reaching the summit of every mountain
on the list have appeared in great numbers."
We can expect there are tens, and perhaps hundreds of Hyaku-Meizan
list completers, and thus Japanese Ultra completers.
We can guesstimate that the Japanese top 50 prominence list
is completed; and considerable progress (accidental or purposeful)
has been made on the 100, 200, and 400 lists.
