Franklin County Highpoint Trip Report

The house next the Sewanee fire tower is a forest service house and is only occupied
periodically when there is a danger of forest fires (I guess) There were two good ol’ boys
there when I visited. Climbed the tower but could not get above tree line for a good view.
BM is on right as you drive in, in front of the house maybe 100 yards off the road.
Unable to locate the other house mentioned in other trip reports. Across the street from
fire tower is Saint Andrews School. There is a water tower in the back of the property
that is on high ground.
The forest service guys said the view from Rowe Gap tower is much better but it was 30
minutes out of my way.
