area one on Clinch Mtn
From Mooresburg on Highway 11W, take Highway 31 north 6.7 miles north and turn
right onto Fire Tower Road near the top o f the mountain.
This is a rough gravel road. 4WD is not required but I wouldn’t attempt it in rainy conditions.
When I arrived there, 4 or 5 goats were grazing near the tower that ran off as
I approached. The tower was missing its first ladder rung so climbing up for a view was
not easily accessible but, if one were so inclined, it would probably be a great view.
