From I-65, take exit 104 and head west on Bethel Road. According to the topo map, the potential high
points are found along this road. It is apparent that some of these contours may be eliminated as potential
highpoints. For instance, the 920 ft contour immediately west of Bethel Church has a couple of homes on it.
The church property looks to be higher than these residences. This lack of discernible height can be said for
Mays Cemetery, also a 920 ft contour. But who knows -- it was dark, my soda was flat and I wanted to go
to the hotel.
I wandered around the other contours, the most prevalent appears to be behind the trailer park to the south
of Bethel Road and the hill overlooking the Shell station.
