Andrews County High Point Trip Report

From the corner of NM 18 and NM 234, east of Eunice, go north
on NM 18 for 2.5 miles to Elliot Littman Oil Field access road.
Go east one mile to the gate "Keep Gate Shut" then northeast
and east-northeast about 3 miles to the state line fence. Cross a
quality cattle-guard into TX and turn more east. The road shown
on the 7.5 topo heading north doesn't exist.
For the tiny south area, go 0.1 mile east (Corner A)
then 0.25 mile south. Park and hike east 0.3 mile,
climbing the tops of the highest dunes. One of them is the south
HP area. Return to Corner A.
For the other three areas, I hiked north 0.5 miles to and past
oil equipment. Andy Martinizer, however, would drive west 0.9 mile,
turn north and drive 2/3 mile to the intersection just before a jog
in the road and spot elevation 3562, then east past the state line fence
(note the east-west jog in the fence immediately to the south),
east to the oil facility, and turn north for 0.1 mile.
He would then park and hike less than 200 feet to the HP areas.
