From Carrizo Springs, drive southwest on FM186 and turn west on FM3262. A mile after FM3262 turns south, there is a locked gate just north of point 863. This prohibits access to the roads either south or west. South of the gate is the La Bandera Ranch, with a large building near the gate. The land north of the road leading west from point 863 is owned by a resident of Carrizo Springs.

One area, just west of the road, has English BM with an elevation of 871 feet. The BM is in an open field just south of a grove of trees. The BM is very near the hp of its area. The BM may be hard to locate as it is flush with the ground and may be covered with dirt.

The highest area is the largest one, about 0.3 mile west-northwest of the BM. It is covered with sparse trees and has a noticeable rise.
