From Garden City, drive north 7 miles to Sherrard Road. Turn right and drive east 2 1/2 miles to the
entrance to Texas Stone Quarries. The road leading south is heavily posted. Get permission at the office in
the building to the north to drive or walk this road.
The road south runs along the eastern side of the large elongated 2785 contour. Various roads lead west to
the top of the ridge. The ridge area is very flat. It takes a lot of walking, much of it on cow trails through
the cactus, to cover the HP area.
