There was an open gate near BM 4134, just east of highway 17. The house 1/4 mile to the east
was occupied, but the dirt road continued right past it, through another unlocked gate,
and on towards the HP.
Unfortunately, the resident of the house - a tough looking cowboy toting a rifle,
would not give the OK for me to drive this road - in fact preferred that I locate myself
off the property. I asked if he was the owner, and he informed me that Emmett McCoy
of San Marcos (?) TX is the man to contact for permission.
