Four areas are bunched together on "El Macho" Ranch, with a fifth way off by
itself near the county's northern border. We spoke to the caretaker, an elderly
Mexican gentleman who spoke no English. My Spanish was barely good enough to
glean that no one could go on and he could not give permission. From where we
parked it would have been a fairly easy walk of about 4 miles round-trip along
ranch roads to the 4 areas. No comment on the outlying fifth area; we did not
scout it.
