Bedford City High Point Trip Report
one area north-northeast of Wingfield Mountain with BM Bedford

The road crossing the HP indicated on the topo is now closed in the middle. The HP can only be accessed
easily from the east. From the intersection of 460 and 122, take 122 Bus. north. Turn right on Franklin,
go through the first stop sign, then turn right at the second stop sign onto South Street (Route 43).
Just after 43 curves sharply right, and before the bridge over 460, turn right on Helm. Take this to the end.
Enjoy a nice conversation with the friendly older couple who owns the last house on the right.
Park there, and hike up the gated road to the HP area. The gate is posted, but there is no fence. The HP
area consists of two large water tanks, and the area around them is fairly disturbed. My best guess for the
highest natural area was between the tanks, but I wandered a bit to make sure.
