Frederick County Highpoint Trip Report
Pinnacle on Great North Mtn (2,844 feet)

We essentially followed Don's previous route with 1 exception, we drove to the
very top of Capon Woods Resort Road, which goes east just before the power lines.
We got permission from the last house on the left and parked at the end.
This saved 400 feet and 0.6 mile each way. Just bushwhack for 150 yards towards
the power lines and hike steeply to the top. I'd say the HP is just past the
communications tower behind a yellow No Trespassing sign that marks the VA line.
Be forewarned this was is heavily posted but we saw no one the entire time.
