Hampton City Highpoint Trip Report

The current topo is somewhat out of date viv-a-vis these points. However, you should be able to figure it out.

I got off of I-64 at exit 261, Hampton Roads Center Parkway, going west. At the first light, turn right onto Big Bethel Road and take the (pretty much first) left into Sandy Bottom Park.

I took the southern area to be on the Wood Duck Trail, pretty much between the #4 and the #11 trail markers. The northern area has fewer landmarks so wandering is in order, although I suspected somewhere along the Black Cherry Trail.

For the two northern areas, Mike Schwartz's directions are, as usual, spot on. The Quarter Path point could be at #6 but I would vote for right at the end of the cul-de-sac at the oak tree. It rises enough above the surrounding territory and has been there for a while.

I concur with Mike Schwartz on the Edgemont/Fairmont point.
