Powhatan County High Point Trip Report
one area 5/8 mile south of Red Lane (490+ ft)

From US60 (Anderson Highway) take SSR628 (Red Lane Road) north 0.5 mile to the crest of a hill near a
tall communications tower. Convenient parking is on the west side of the road, just past the church and
cemetery, near a bowery. The highest present ground is the road itself, but this may or may not be the actual
original high ground. The next candidates are on the east side of the road, in the yards of three houses
(house numbers 2100, 2110, 2120.) It's a very easy touch and go, but people in Red Lane are friendly so it
doesn't hurt to explain your intentions.
