Wise County High Point Trip Report
High Knob - BM High Knob 2 (4,223 ft)

For the trio of Wise, Scott, and Norton City, I used the unposted trip reports of Ron Tagliapietra and an
unidentified author who was on his way to a Highpointers Club Convention. From exit 1 on US 23 in
Norton, go south on VA 619, not well marked.
Negotiate at least a dozen major hairpin turns and at 3.9 miles, turn left on FR 238, a paved road that
turns right at 4.3 miles and reaches the summit parking area at 4.5 miles. Short walk to summit, with
lookout tower and fine views.
