Drove I-90 to Exit 231, 2.6 miles east on Danekas Road,
0.8 miles south on Ziemer Road and parked right at the crest.
These roads appear pretty well used even in winter.
From here it is a straight line walk ENE on nearly level ground (~1-2% grade)
for three-quarters of a mile to the high point.
I decided on a winter summit to avoid any complications with farming.
Temperatures below freezing and several inches of windblown crusty snow cover
made the surface nice and smooth, which made it easy to see the highest point
in the very flat area. It would have been easy to cross-country ski,
but I didn't have that equipment so just walked.
A few small tufts of grass poked out of the snow near Ziemer Road,
but those could have been avoided by leaving the road a short distance farther north.
The rest was solid snow. No fence or anything to cross.
