Marinette County High Point Trip Report

From the Junction of WI101 and WI8 in Armstrong Creek hit the odometer and head north for 2.7 miles
until you come to Crist Novich Road on your right. Delorme has it marked as Road 2. Turn right and head east.
After 0.7 mile you'll come to a house on your right marked "Town Goodwin W16630". Shortly
thereafter the paved road comes to an end at a red posted gate. The skeptical owner at the house gave
permission to park in front of the gate while we went to what he called "the 80".
From the red gate continue east on foot on what is now a dirt lane for about 1/4 mile until the dirt lane takes
a hard left to another farm house. From this point a lesser dirt road/trail continues east-southeast into the
trees gaining a little bit of altitude as if continues. Not more than about 100 - 150 yards later a fainter old
logging road branches off to the right. Take a right here and weave in and out of tall grass (depending on
the time you are here) and leaning trees till the road gets you to what feels like the highest area. Lots of
little bumps on top to pick and choose from left over from past logging (?).
