Sauk County High Point Trip Report

USGS BM 1593 on Sauk Point (1,593 ft) and 1 area 800 ft NW (1,580+ ft)

From WI 113, south of Baraboo, go east 2.3 miles on Tower Road to Highpoint Drive, a dead end road on the right. About 1/10 mile in on Highpoint Drive is an open gate. I walked up the road to the tower, which is on Sauk Point at elevation 1593, and did not tarry to look for the BM. Drop down a grassy path to the NW, leaving a short bushwhack to the northern point. For access avoiding the gate, it would be possible to park on Tower Road and approach the two areas through the woods.
