Shawano County High Point Trip Report

Date: November 2000
Author: John Mitchler

This liner is just off a state highway, behind a house on a thinly wooded ridge. Venture to the northwest corner of Shawano County to the intersection of US45 and WI52. Drive west on WI52 and note the graveyard of old trailer homes on your right (north) and then look left (south) to see a Animal Acts Training Center. After 1.1 miles, turn right (northeast) onto the driveway of Thomas Builer. The house sits off the highway a bit and is on a ridge that extends north across the county line. The HP appeared to be 20' south of the county line on the ridge. The county line was marked by yellow and pink flagging and is about 300' north of the house. If you drove past Builer's house, you'd come to the county line and an intersection with CR HH. From there you could hike due east (with compass in hand) for 3000' to the HP ridge, but that would be more difficult.
