The trail and stone stairway to the old communications tower at the summit are
invisible from the access road while vegetation is in full leaf. Every group
that visited the summit this month ended up scrambling up the slippery rocks
from the end of the parking lot and then descended the easy steps and trail.
In summer, look for a sign for a historic cemetery along the right side of the
access road and find the start of the trail a few paces to the left.
