It appears from the Calfire maps that so far the summit ridge is unscathed. This rapidly expanding fire, how're, is likely to be there soon enough.
It has been many years since I summited this COHP and I know nothing of the current trail system leading there. I just remember a short but intense brushy area near the start before reaching a ranch house owned by some very nice people. From there the going was easy on roads and trails.
I was planning to go quite near there next week, however, as I embark on a NCalifornia peak bagging tour, of which many of the peaks are wilderness area HP's. Sky High, the Cache Creek Wilderness Area HP, is smack dab in the center of this wildfire. Oh well. Plans altered again. I originally scheduled a back back for next week to Kaweah Mountain, a 2000'+ prominence peak in the southern Sierra Nevada. Unfortunately there is another wildfire there on the approach around the Five Lakes Basin, so I altered plans already.
At least the central coast area has had pleasant hiking/peak bagging lately. Will it stay that way for long? All bets are off!

Dan Mary, here's the latest operational maps for the Rocky Fire which
jumped 20K acres since yesterday.

http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_details_maps?incident_id=1161
http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_details_info?incident_id=1161

the Yolo County HP, Butte Rock, Twin Sisters, Sky High and Brushy Sky High
all burned through yesterday...now the fire is reading east to Highway 16
and has already hit Langs Peak. The high points of Blue Ridge are only a
bit further to the east. This seems like a disastrous fire of the area...

I hope the locals along Reiff Road (the Mud Pirate and the house on the
ridge got out OK. So far CalFire is reporting 24 structures lost.

btw I went to Brushy Sky High (which is the wilderness HP, not nearby Sky
High) earlier this year; great hike, fair amount of bushwhacking. It will
look quite different when it eventually reopens.

I overlayed the Aug 1 Cal Fire Data on my tracks https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zFX8PnqFnWTk.kT1aBh5ylYQg&usp=sharing (zoom in on Rocky Fire perimeter) and it appears to me that the fire perimeter is along most of the tracks. Of course the Cal Fire data is approximate and has most likely changed from yesterday. We really will not know until someone goes up there.

Hi David, you are right, the operational map for Aug 2 indicates the summit and about half the route is burned over. We to hope for the best for all the local residents. What beautiful country that is up there.

Yes, we met the Mud Pirate on Reif Road( taking pictures of a grader that
had run off the road) and he showed us a shortcut thru his yard. Then on
the way back disn we met the guy at the house on the ridge and his neighbor
who lived down the road.

Now all the federal land there is part of the new Snow Mountain Berryessa
National Monument so I am sure recovery will be part of the integrated
management plan they will be developing. Trails would be nice indeed.
