Had a fine time at the convention, and county caravans were active Tuesday through convention Saturday. Traipsed through many corn and bean fields without damaging crops or being run off by farmer(s).

The corn was so high ("as an elephant's eye") that once we entered a field, we were essentially invisible, and fortunately it had been and was so dry that the crops were only dusty, with no mud and other filth. The gentleman in the attached photo demonstrated a particular talent for wading through the corn and was deservedly dubbed the "Corn King."

Based on the latest maps, the Jerusalem Fire finished up the rest of the
Little Blue Ridge access route that wasn't burnt in the Rocky Fire.

Yep, that's the way I read it as well. I am hoping against hope that the map makers just "filled in the hole" and that some of that route is still green. Will be checking it out sometime in the next few months just to see,

that's quite sad. as of two days ago the homes on the ridge, and along
Rieff Road, had been spared. just barely. we met several of those
homeowners on our hike. So far CalFire has not reported any structure
losses though
