Alright Coloradans . . . I think that this picture most accurately
depicts what I have long thought, yet never openly suggested, that the
Montrose County Highpoint may have been erroneously designated as Castle
Rock rather than Storm King. In this photo you can see the moon rising,
and cradled between Storm King's summit and a bump to the right (south),
and that bump is Castle Rock, the Montrose County Highpoint. Castle Rock
actually disqualifies Storm King as a ranked summit by having 40 feet
more prominence, yet I think that you can plainly see here that it does
not. I walked along the west ridgeline between them toward the south
over Storm King back in December of 2003, and although it was subtle, it
felt all-the-while like I was gradually descending into a semi-deep
saddle before rising only minimally up to the County Highpoint (?), and
here is a clear visual of my point of contention. Any thoughts?

Many thanks Aaron

Map shows Castle Rock at least 14 feet higher, but maps
do have errors from time to time:

Next person up Castle rock might bring good sight level ??

And if visiting both points GPS might be useful, though
likely not definitive.
