>>I have recently worked my way through the Land of Lincoln and found
that we have perhaps been visiting the wrong point for [Jersey] county.
LiDAR analysis indicates that the point that has been traditionally
visited is the location of a bust in the USGS topo map, and that the
true location lies eastward.

Peakbagger has a good map at:

http://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=6509

The yellow circle and two light outline red circles are the
3 locations listed in the COHP book and on cohp.org.

The thick outline red circle is the LiDar Jersey cohp.

-------
So, will cohp.org be revised?

Margie and I were up there almost a year ago. Sitting in the car next to the observatory and a big slab of ice came down and crowned the rental jeep. Even if the posted signs was not expecting it.

I hiked from what is now the visitor center at ~9,000 ft., up the then true jeep road, to the summit in 1970. I was on R & R from Viet Nam. First time to Hawaii and loved every minute of it. Looking forward to a revisit some day.
