Tommyl810 wrote "Since then, Robeson County has added 2-foot contour maps to its GIS site, and it appears that this ridge may indeed be the highest point in Robeson County.

The new area is at 639 McGirt Gin Road and has a 242-foot contour, which is two full contours higher than any of the others. "

Sounds like a new trip report for the county and revisions to that North Carolina index page.

I haven't heard of anyone taking that responsibility to put a new map and such revisions on the cohp.org website. Looks like it might eventually be me (working with Andy Martin).

So, a few questions:
What is Tommyl810's real name, so he can get credit on the trip report?
Does he and Charles Zephrey wish to write up a trip report, or shall I (or someone) make it up from your cohp yahoogroups post?

It looks like Fred Lobdell hasn't claimed visiting Robeson county NC coHP yet. All the same I would like his opinion.

Regards,
David Olson

Sorry I neglected to sign my name--Tom Layton. I post my trip reports on Peakbagger, and any significant updates I will also post on this board.
Charlie and I are preparing for another eastern NC trip next week to get the 17 COHPs he needs to finish the state. We plan to revisit Robeson on Friday 3/4.
After that trip, I'll write updates for several counties. Most NC counties now have 2-foot contours online now, and I've used those to narrow the possibilities (or in the case of Robeson, to add a new one). Also, the GIS maps often clarify the old "Indefinite boundary" county lines on the quads, so that a few of the COHP areas (Onslow and Washington) are now excluded horizontally rather than vertically.
We may also have discovered new COHPs in Gates and Hyde, but I want to visit those before commenting further.
