I'm a little surprised that Roy Schweiker didn't mention it, but Belknap Mountain is the HP of Belknap County, New Hampshire.

Ben Hill County in Georgia was named for Ben HIll, but Hill was not a
mountain.

Coby King wrote "Ugh. This is unbelievable. I was planning on going to this area on Sunday as part of my annual DC trip."

I scanned the text. The closure takes a bite out of the southern end of the park.

To go by the closure of Skyline Drive, the closure starts north of the Albemarle coHP, Big Flat Mountain, and ends south of the Greene coHP, with no county highpoints in between.

To go by the Appalachia Trail closure, the closure starts south of Albemarle coHP.

It looks like Coby can get all of his county HP objectives in Shenandoah NP, except maybe Albemarle county, and if he tried for Albemarle coHP he would have to go around the fire closure.

David Olson
