Complete list of Southern Sixers? (all 104 summits)

Sorry, I know this is a bit off topic, but the list does contain a number of county highpoints, so...

I was wondering if anyone happened to have an official list of every single closed contour above 6000' in TN and NC. The list apparently numbers 103, per this article http://www.blueridgeoutdoors.com/climbing/the-forgotten-summits/ http://www.blueridgeoutdoors.com/climbing/the-forgotten-summits/

However, I have been unable to find any lists of these summits online. Careful perusal of the relevant areas yielded all but a few of the candidates; I still came up short, and a few candidates are doubtful due to their lying right on a quad boundary that makes picking out where there's actually a contour hard to ascertain.

I'm bound to the Southeast for most of the next few years, and as there's only a handful of "must climb" county highpoints here I have left, I've needed a new silly challenge to work on too! I'd very much appreciate anyone who could point me in the right direction!

Thanks,
~Chris

Shasta, Thielsen, etc. partners for August?

Hey all, as it happens I've had a bit of vacation time approved and am planning a last hurrah for this summer. I'm planning to head to the southern Cascades and get me a few volcanoes. While I'm planning this trip as a solo one, I always enjoy company!

Who: anyone interested!

What: Shasta and Thielsen will be the most challenging things I have planned for this trip. Other peaks planned are Lassen, Curry/Coos/Josephine OR COHPs, Mt. Scott (same day as Thielsen, Crater Lake NPHP), Crane Mtn (Lake OR), and possibly Anthony Pk (Mendocino CA)

When: August 15-20th (Monday-Saturday). I get into Reno late Sunday evening, and fly out again early the following Sunday morning

Where: Northern California and southern Oregon

How: I'll be mostly flexible, saving the best weather days for the hardest peaks. A potential schedule might look like:
Monday: Lassen; hike up to camp on Shasta
Tuesday: Shasta via Clear Creek route--perfect for snow weenies like myself!
Wednesday: Curry/Coos/Josephine
Thursday: Crane
Friday: Thielsen and Scott
Saturday: Anthony Pk, head back to Reno

Why: because I'm crazy, and my idea of a break from work is trudging up hot, dusty questionably dormant volcanoes!

State High Points and Pokemon Go

So what does a nerd herd stampede in Central Park

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7StjwNBtTrI

have to do with our dignified hobby ?
More than you might think.

Summary:
32 state HPs might be of interest to Pokemon Go players.

Gory details:
PokeStops and PokeGyms (dont ask :) might be found at
32 state high points (listing below). Field checking
is needed on this. To do this download the app, create
an account (Google Login will work) and visit the state
HP in question.

This was determined by looking at the Ingress
Intel map (details below).

This methodology was field checked on Mount Lemmon, where
the Steward Observatory sign is near the Pima COHP:
https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5235/7155978490_a94ae4c805_b.jpg

This sign is represented by a blue "squished bug" on the
Ingress Intel Map. This sign is indeed the location of a PokeGym,
conquered by none other than oldadit on 7-18-2016. Eat dust Bob ! ;)

Ingress Intel Map (login needed, slow, hard to use,
need to zoom way in on HPs to check)
https://www.ingress.com/intel

Green and blue "squished bugs" correspond to either PokeStops or PokeGyms.

Google map of state high points - handy for help in navigating
the cumbersome Ingress Intel Map.

Relevance:
This might be a handy way to get the kids interested in the
Kansas high point ?

Surely someone will want to visit the Poke-whatevers on
every state high point that has one ??

Maybe 1 in 21 million will get interested. The vast majority of these people don't even look up from their phone when going from place to place. I compare this logic to the Target and Walmart stores I've been to this week that are putting out all their Pokemon cards, games, physical product at the front of the store to cash in on the craze, not realizing that although the game is pokemon, people are not interested in buying the physical card and figure games if they weren't already into it. The same goes for highpointing. They're going to those spots solely because there is something there they want and could care less what else is at that destination. I could see this craze pulling in a lot of new geocachers because it has similarities to hunting for a treasure spot and getting something out of it.
