This might be a handy way to get the kids interested in the
Kansas high point ?

Surely someone will want to visit the Poke-whatevers on
every state high point that has one ??

21 million Pokemon Go users. 1 in 1000 will go to a state
HP Poke-place. 1 in 1000 of these will join the HP club.
Membership grows ???

32 States with Pokemon Stops or Gyms on the HP

### Sooooooo........ I too have no flippin' clue about this. However, I
have 3 wonderful young men & women on the Highpointers Foundation Board of
Directors, all between 18 & 20. I asked them about it. Mackenzie Scurka,
19, Dartmouth College Sophomore to be, responded thuhsly:

" I am a proud Pokemon trainer level 7!

Even though the game is hilarious and really fun, I'm not sure how I feel
about putting pokestops and gyms on highpoints. I think the creators'
intention was to motivate people to get outside, but I think their vision
is a bit distorted because yes, more people are outside, but they're glued
to their phones and have no idea what's actually happening around them.
Incorporating Pokemon Go with highpoints is a fun idea and might get us
more visitors, but I think it also might compromise the experience. Instead
of enjoying the triumph of climbing a mountain, they're feeling victorious
because they just conquered a gym or found a rare Pokemon. Seems weird to
me. I especially don't feel ok with putting stops and gyms in wilderness
areas.

That being said, I think having pokestops and gyms on the small highpoints
wouldn't necessarily diminish anyone's appreciation of their surroundings
because these HPs just aren't as glamorous. There's not much to see at
Delaware's intersection highpoint, so i guess why not add a pokestop to
make it more interesting! The pokestops have little information boxes about
the history/significance of the stop, so if we could mention the foundation
then maybe people would gain more interest in us, but I don't see many new
members coming our way from this.

Keep Klimbin and Keep Katchin (pokemon)

Mackenzie "

I will work with Mackenzie to see what it would entail to add more Stops
and Gyms where appropriate. I will report back to this forum once
something happens. Until then just stay tuned....

Dave (Poke Me, Monnnnnnn....... ) ( when in doubt, ask a teenager, this
applies to remote controls, cell phones, fashion, and Pokeys ) Covill
