Congratulations Laura, Kerry, Andrew, John and Jobe. That is a classic climb for sure. Crazy thing is that I have spoken with everyone of you except John Hamman at some point or another...even Mitchler and Bolton. What a great group to climb with.
And Jobe, California is a premier county highpoint prize. It has such diversity in altitude, difficulty and access. Well done!!!
Cheers,
Jim Retemeyer

We had great success on Ritter, as a group, putting 5 of us on top. Thanks Coby, for the interest and congrats. You too, Fred! It's appreciated.

Jobe, my congrats as well. What is it, fewer people have completed California than have summited Everest? Finishing on Ritter -- can't think of a better summit to complete the set. An impressive accomplishment!

Anyone thinking of taking on Lyell in 2017?
I am 9 COHP's shy of completing California. I completed Ritter almost exactly one year ago, and with the help of Coby and Company, bagged San Mateo and Yolo this February. One that continues to elude me is Lyell. I solo'ed Ritter, but it becoming more clear that for me summiting Lyell "takes a village", apologies for the political reference.
If anyone has any thoughts on Lyell let me know!
See you at the Summit,
Joe

I definitely would like to climb these and many other mountains. I am looking to join mountaineering teams in 2017 and subsequent years for mountaineering ascents.
