Point taken.

Here is the kinder, gentler version:

"1. Political posts are inappropriate on the COHP forum. Kindly desist.

2. Anyone wishing to comment on the political portion of Ken's post, please respond privately to Ken.

Your obedient servant,

Mike S."

I would just say "lighten up Francis".

That wasn't some horrible political comment...it was the feeling that many of us on both sides feel. It was a joke as well.

This forum should not be political in nature but that little note was certainly not worth the diatribe in response.

Ken,

Your political comment is inappropriate and gratuitous in this forum. You know that religion and politics are contentious and often poisonous topics. Why is it so difficult for you to resist sharing your political views, and why do you assume that anyone is interested in knowing them? From a personal point of view, if I wanted to know your political views, which I surely don't, I would contact you privately and not choose to air them on a forum devoted to county highpointing, the mountains, and the outdoors.

As for Shannon Dillmore, he finished a close second this evening. Walked away with $49K+. Not bad!

To the group,

I definitely will need to find someone in another region of the USA who has a recording of Shannon's appearances on Jeopardy!. I looked up where Jeopardy! is broadcast on Seattle TV, and it on KOMO 4. However, according to the station's schedule, the Presidential debate is being broadcast on that station from 6 - 8 pm PDT, then followed by a gubernatorial debate for the upcoming election in WA.

People living in the eastern USA already know the results of Shannon's performance today, so did he win, so I can make plans to watch him again on Thursday?

(I hope I am not trending into a contentious political discussion, but I confident that it will be non-controversial that Shannon, and perhaps most of us in this group, would make better candidates for President than the two leading people running).

Ken
