Hello.

I saw on the front page of today's Friday 11-25-2016 Washington Times an article on the subject of National Monuments, creating and decreating.

Pres. Obama has created more National Monuments, and acreage of National Monuments, than any previous president. Environmentalists cheer this and advocate for this, because such designation of Federal land precludes oil, gas and minerals development of that land.
-- And of course each new one adds a new National Monument high point to that list.

Now land activists in the west are urging incoming President Trump to reverse several of those designations.

Some of them were turned into national parks, but some were just dropped into other national interior designations:

Hello.

I saw on the front page of today's Friday 11-25-2016
Washington Times an article on the subject of National
Monuments, creating and decreating.

Pres. Obama has created more National Monuments, and acreage
of National Monuments, than any previous president.
Environmentalists cheer this and advocate for this, because
such designation of Federal land precludes oil, gas and
minerals development of that
land.

-- And of course each new one adds a new National Monument
high point to that list.

Now land activists in the west are urging incoming President
Trump to reverse several of those designations.
