- - - - I've done research to identify 47 city highpoints (ie,three I don't know yet) and will publish that in an upcoming issue of the HPClub newsletter. A few of the city highpoints are cohps. As Scott notes, somecity boundaries can/will change due to annexation (eg, Phoenix, Milwaukee,Columbus), plus city populations change (eg, after 2010 census: Honolulu &New Orleans out, Virginia Beach & Colorado Springs in), so this list variesmuch more than the cohp list. Greg Slayden has given me much insight and willreview the list, and will likely include it in Peakbagger. As for Scott'samazing AZ list, I did five of the metro area city HPs during a business tripthere. The Phoenix HP is tough and was made possible only by Andy's 4WD. By the way, Mesa is in the 50 most populous list and I need to speak toMaricopa Co. to identify a public trailhead for that HP.

Heck, I've been wondering about Columbus. Trying to read a topo with all the buildings and streets sure isn't a walk in the park.

Columbus would also be problematic due to the various annexations and the sprawling nature that leaves exclaves all over the map there.
