National Forest / Grasslands HPs, private vs. public

This started with noting the contrast between National Forest and National Grasslands, and their HPs.

Most people are interested in National Forest HPs, because usually the Forest includes mountains or hills, and the HP is usually a nice mountain or hill. National Forests also usually include some lakes, and people like lake-water and trees.

I haven't heard any mention of the grasslands or their HPs. Here is a list of Nat. Grasslands. I haven't figured what their HPs are:
CO Comanche
CO Pawnee
KA Cimarron A guess; could = the Morton KS coHP.
NE Oglala
NM Kiowa
ND Little Missouri A guess; could = Slope ND coHP, or the Golden Valley ND coHP.
ND Sheyenne
OK Black Kettle
OR Crooked River
SD Buffalo Gap
SD Fort Pierre
SD Grand River
TX Caddo
TX Lyndon B Johnson
TX Rita Blanca A guess ; could = the Dallam TX coHP.
WY Thunder Basin

At the same time, I remembered making a special trip over to get the HP of Nebraska NF, located 1/4 mile from the Dawes NE coHP. But when I looked on peakbagger to claim it, peakbagger named a different, lower, point as the HP. That is because of the difference between publicly owned vs. a private property inside the authorized borders of the Nat. Forest.

Bob,
You continue to be an inspiration for us lesser folks: The last time I saw you, it was in January of 2013 and you had just climbed over a 6 foot fence and were running uphill to bag the west Molokai HP. Keep up the good work! - and happy new year.
Don

Trip Reports - Adams/Denver/Broomfield CO

http://www.thegreatzo.com/cohp/counties/co/broomfield/Here are three Denver-area trip reports from March 2015. It was my first trip to Colorado, so I took out the easy stuff while acclimating. Just to pick up something a little bit more worthwhile, I did climb Green Mountain near Boulder (8kft+) on the same trip, which remains my highest peak. Pictures and GPS tracks included on the report pages.
