Mount Meeker, Colorado 13,911

Respectable but surely someone can claim a 14er. (Anyone named White?)

My highest namesake is Mt. Bolton Brown in the Sierras just south of the Palisades region. 13,491 feet per Peakbagger.com. The funny part is that my younger sister married a guy named Brown and calls herself Bolton Brown online.

Ooof.

I'm either finding Lakin Hill, ME, at 1661' or a slew of Elizabeth
mountains (one of which is a 14er in Antarctica). The only problem with
that is that I legally changed my name to Beth just as my dad had wanted to
name me.

The name of the world's fourth highest mountain, Makalu, elevation ~27,825' means "Great Black One." My name, Schwartz, means black in the original German (minus the "t").

Anyone out there named Everest, Chomolungma, K2, Godwin-Austen, or Kangchenjunge?

Gustave Butte, SD 3580'+
Unclimbed, but certainly on my list.

Everyone should comment on weather they have been up their namesake.

There is no Surgent Mountain I could find, but there is a Sargent Mountain
in Acadia National Park, Maine, which I have not climbed. The lineages of
the two names are not related, despite the similarity in spelling.

Going by first names, there is Scott Peak in Idaho, 11,393 feet (not
climbed by me) and Mount Scott, Crater Lake National Park HP, which my wife
and I climbed back in 2004.

Peakbagger says there's a Mont du Lac Scotty in Quebec.

"Karr" doesn't get very many interesting results. Carr is a little better. If we could use first names...

The Barney Top in Southern Utah was named for my grandfather who surveyed
the original road over the Top into Escalante and ran a sawmill near the 9,000 high saddle .

It is the most prominent plateau in Southern Utah and is easily seen seen from Bryce Canyon National Park.

The southern end of the Top is called Powell Point (elevation 10,620 ft) and was named for the early
explorer, John Wesley Powell, who tried, unsuccessfully, to climb it.

Oh, The HP of Antarctica, Vinson Massif, is located in the Ellsworth Mountains (again, named after Lincoln). By a curious fluke, my grandmother's maiden name was Vinson. And no, i've never set foot in Antarctica. Had to make do with venturing north, it was a much cheaper option...
