Dan,

I found a Mt Daniel 7,960 feet http://www.summitpost.org/mount-daniel/150409 http://www.summitpost.org/mount-daniel/150409 which is the highest point of King County, WA where Seattle is located as well as Kittitas County.

There is also a Case Mountain near Manchester, CT http://www.mountainsummits.com/mountains/connecticut/case.htm
while only 744 feet high it provides an excellent view of Hartford, CT and is an easy drive from the Hudson Valley.

I have a number of them to choose from... Mt Graham's in AZ, WY, and CO all clear 10,000 ft. CO actually clears 12,000 ft. Only one I've climbed is the one in AZ.
Also a very fun looking Mt Graham in New Zealand that tops 10,000 ft...

I have summited one of my namesakes, Johnson Peak in Yosemite at 11,040. The highest is Mount Johnson at 12,871.

A quick glance at the Peakbagger Ap shows 170 Johnson-related Peaks, including Johnson Mound in FL at 7' (but with a prominence of 5' it has an impressive prominence to summit elevation of 71%!), and the Johnson County prominence in NE

Add in my first name and the Ap gives me 74 more possibilities, and my middle name another 38. I suppose that if I were so inclined I could probably set a record for namesake summit completions.

Mike,

Have you heard of the famous Schwartz Ledges on Mount Robson, BC?https://www.mountainproject.com/v/south-faceschwartz-ledges/106985821 https://www.mountainproject.com/v/south-faceschwartz-ledges/106985821

Mount Robson is the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies topping off at el 12,972 feet.

Not far from Mount Robson, also found in the Canadian Rockies is Mount Mike standing at an elevation of 10,869 feet. http://peakery.com/mount-mike-canadian-rockies/ http://peakery.com/mount-mike-canadian-rockies/

Add to that there is a Spooky Mountain http://peakery.com/spooky-mountain-colorado/map/ http://peakery.com/spooky-mountain-colorado/map/in Colorado at a lowly 6,316 feet located just outside of Dinosaur National Monument in western Colorado.

Now you have some new places to go.

There actually is one County Highpointer who has a real namesake mountain,
actually named after him.

Walt Vennum ( http://www.peakbagger.com/climber/climber.aspx?cid=11278 )
worked for three seasons in the Antarctic with the US Geologic Survey and
Mount Vennum in Palmer Land is named in his honor

https://geonames.usgs.gov/apex/f?p=gnispq:5:::NO::P5_ANTAR_ID:15945

No-one has climbed it yet.

Walt also is a mountaineer with climbs in Alaska, the Himalayas and the
Andes, and has several first ascents of rock routes in the US.

In 2014 and 2015 Walt and I did the last five of his California County High
points, finishing the state on San Benito Mountain
