Way back in January our web site treasurer Laura Newman
reported that there were several donations to the site
in 2016. These funds are sufficient to "keep the lights on"
for this year, and hosting costs through September were
recently paid.

Many thanks to everyone that contributed.

hmm. seems the counties are still official geographic entities even if they don't have governments.

As long as the census bureau continues to list them as second-level divisions, I think we're okay. I do think that the lists of towns for states that have no unincorporated areas (like CT and MA) would be interesting to pursue.
