Which Anne Arundel points did you feel intrusive on?

I visited Quirauk many years ago, from an unusual direction. I was hiking a former section of the Appalacian Trail on the east side of Quirauk, and at one point bushwhacked uphill for a better view. There were no warning signs of any kind. On the flat summit, came right to a boulder, still in the woods that seemed to be the highest point. Never even went into the cleared area. Worth a visit that way if desired. Chip Clark

My wife and I visited Quirauk back in 2008, using directions from cohp.org.
It is heavily guarded and presumably fortified from all directions. Fort
Ritchie lie immediately below it to the east, and Camp David is about 4
miles to the southeast. This is one probably best to not stealth. The
guards up there were nice, probably a little bored, but heavily armed.

To mirror Scott's take, when we went up there last year, one guard had just been called and knew we were on the way, the other guard was not and had his weapon at the ready until the first waved him off. Do not stealth this. The high spot of the mountain and benchmark are in a heavily patrolled area. This highpoint is not one to be messed around with.

Wow - this has been a while ago. Did you send me an emailt hat got buried in the blur of the last several weeks? I will look again. You will find issues and errors, no doubt - it was an epic trip of myself, Don Desrosiers, Fred Lobdell, and Mike "Pops" Schwartz. Good memories!

COHP gang -

The latest issue of the HP Club newsletter features a mention of this
book. I initially caught wind of it from this Yahoo forum some months ago.

I have obtained this book, read it, and am now through with it. I will
offer it up to the first person who gets to me who wants it.

Conditions:

Pay me back the ~$7 it will cost to mail it...

Promise to send it on to another like-minded person with interest in
reading it when you are done with it...

I will not make a " Book Review " part of this posting. Up to you to like
the book or dislike it...

Somebody remind me - who knew this guy? Someone from New England ( NH ? )
